Angel TreeMercy House (Santa Ana).

Mercy House was founded in 1988 by Catholic Priest, Father Jerome T. Karcher.  Father Jerome’s Dad is Carl Karcher, the founder of Carl’s Jr. Restaurants.Mercy House has developed a Continuum of Care to provide homeless prevention, emergency services, transitional housing and permanent housing with supportive services to homeless men, women and children living in Orange County.  Mercy House provides emergency services as the Mercy House Walk-in Center (motel vouchers, toiletry kits, groceries) and overnight housing at the Orange County Emergency Cold Weather Shelter Armory in Santa Ana (near Mater Dei HS) as well as 2 apartment complexes here in Santa Ana for completed participants of their programs (including a couple of families who attend our church). 

Mercy House also operates 3 Homeless Transitional Houses here in Santa Ana The Joseph House (Transitional shelter for 20 homeless single men. This program includes men 21 years or older) The Regina House 
(Transitional shelter for 7 homeless mothers and their children)Emmanuel House 
(Transitional shelter for 21 homeless single adults living with HIV/AIDS)

Pray for:

-Valerie Carter, an attendee of Calvary Church,  and the coordinator of the cold weather emergency housing program at the Armory

-The Homeless men and women who are on the streets of downtown Santa Ana, just a few blocks away,  and could really benefit from entering into a Mercy House program
