Angel TreeOlive Crest (Santa Ana, Orange, Riverside).  

Since 1973, Olive Crest has provided loving care for over 40,000 children and families.  The mission statement is: “Olive Crest is dedicated to Preventing child abuse, to Treating and Educating at-risk children and to Preserving the family… “One Life at a Time.”  Besides caring for kids in the social service system, Olive Crest also partners with His Children Ministries and other adoption agencies to provide foster and adoptive parents to kids without families.  In this way, Olive Crest is following the call of James 1:27 which says, “Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”

We have several Calvary Church members who work at Olive Crest including, Eileen Angier, Karen Bergstrom, Kerri Dunkelberger, Suzzane Jensvold, Tamara Koch and Ryan and Natalie Condron.  Our own Eric Wakeling is on an advisory board with Olive Crest, working on a plan to develop an emergency housing plan for at risk children (Safe Families), where families from Calvary and other churches could step forward to temporary house at risk kids.

-Dr. Karen Bergstrom and the leadership of Olive Crest as they develop Safe -Families and provide vision for the future of the ministry

-Chaplains Frank Fried and Natalie Condron

-Olive Crest kids attending our High School Group at Calvary each Sunday

-God’s provision with Finances during this tough economic period
