Collect Pennies for VBS

All the pennies donated each summer for Vacation Bible School goes to help the missionary speakers’ special request.

In 2008, the funds raised by the kids at VBS went to help Mark and Lara, missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in West Asia.  They began their first term of service as linguists and translators in January 1998 working to complete a translation project begun by another translator among a large minority people group.  The people group is unreached, although several organizations are working to plant churches among them.  Lara works to provide literacy materials for the people and Mark focuses on completing the translation. 

Thanks to the generous giving of so many kids, they were able to take 3 brand new lap tops with them for their work in Bible Translation for Wycliffe.

We later received this note from Mark: "Thanks for making our part in VBS possible. It was a highlight of my summer and I was blessed in ways I didn't expect. Oh, and I should mention that the remainder of the funds after the purchase of the laptops was used to buy a couple laptop bags and an automatic data backup system, as well as some software. God is good!"
