Engagement Class
This eight week class (plus an assessment done prior to the start of class) will help couples have a more realistic perception of themselves and the marriage relationship. Mentor couples will teach on Biblical roles in marriage, sexuality, communication, resolving conflict, family finances, love languages, stages of marriage and realistic expectations in order to help strengthen and enrich relationships for a more fulfilling and lifelong marriage. Our goal is to equip couples of all ages to start building a future marriage based on foundational Biblical principles. This class is required for any couple planning to be married at Calvary Church or by a Calvary Church pastor.

Pre-Engagement Class
Choosing one’s life partner is the second most important decision in a person’s life. Such a monumental decision demands monumental attention, vigilance, and deliberation. The goal is to help individuals see themselves and their significant others more clearly from an objective basis, and to make choices based on things that really matter. Our prayer for each person is confirmation and clarity about this most important relationship.
This class uses the book "Before You Save The Date, 21 Questions to help you marry with confidence" by Dr. Paul Friesen. The book poses 21 questions dealing with Convictions, Character, Compatibility, and Chemistry to help build a decision-making framework for singles or couples to evaluate potential suitors for marriage. This practical, biblically-based book is easy to read, yet deep enough to be thought-provoking and useful in confirming life’s second most important decision: choosing one's marriage partner.

Weddings at Calvary
We want to do everything we can to prepare couples for a godly marriage. For our weddings here at Calvary both pastoral counseling by the officiating pastor and participation in our pre-marital classes are required.
