What do you do at Calvary?

In addition to teaching biblical stewardship principles, I organize, conduct or co-teach the Crown Biblical Financial Study classes, 'Back to Basics' Workshops, and Estate Planning Seminars. A significant and growing part of our ministry is the Budget Coaching Ministry where we come alongside families providing support and guidance in getting their financial house in order.

How did you come to Calvary and how long have you been here?

We started attending Calvary in 1988 as a result of a radio teaching ministry.

Where were you born and raised?

Born in Los Angeles but raised in Buena Park when corn fields, orange groves and strawberry fields surrounded Knott's Berry Farm. (And you didn't have to pay to get into Knotts!)

Tell us about your family...

Next to salvation God's greatest blessing is my wife Judy, and our two grown daughters, Kim and Kristyn. I have to mention our granddaughter, Lilah.

Tell us how you "popped the question," or how it was popped to you.

Oh, boy. I guess you could say I 'half popped' the question over the phone between CA and Germany.
Judy planned the wedding with me overseas and when I returned I formally 'asked her'.  She still loves me.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Calvary Church?

It was an 'a ha' moment during the first Crown Biblical Financial Study class at Calvary.
I woke up to the realization that chasing money (and managing it) was my 'chief competitor' to a close relationship with my Lord.

Who have been the biggest spiritual influencers in your life?

Dr. John MacArthur and a very honest friend.

Favorite place you’ve been in the world and where do you want to go next?

As a photographer I have lots of favorite places but Kauai stands out.  We just returned from New Hamphire photographing the fall foliage but Glacier National Park is our next destination.

When I can't be found at Calvary, I can be found...

Either out creating images or in our home studio processing them on the computer.

Hidden Talent?

The list is getting shorter day by day but ...   photography (However, there are those who would dispute this).

What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years?

Digital cameras and GPS technologies (They go hand in hand for a landscape photographer)

On what reality show would you most want to be a contestant?

My life is the 'ultimate' reality show and my only desire is to hear, "Well done thy good and faithful servant"
