What do you do at Calvary?

I am the Pastor of the Hispanic Ministry where I minister people of different ages.


How did you come to Calvary and how long have you been here? 

My brother in law invited me to preach one Sunday and after that several more until I became the Pastor of this ministry in January 2003.


What is your educational background and training?

Originally I have a degree in Industrial Sketcher, I studied theology in Mexico for one year extension, and I studied for four years in Rio Grande and I have a degree Professor Theology studies.


Where were you born and raised? 

I was born and raised in Monterrey Mexico, 3 hours from the South border with Texas where I lived for 24 years.


Tell us about your family...

I am the second child of a family of 7, 5 boys and 2 girls.   My father is a Barber and my mother is a homemaker.  I am happily married since February 2003 and a have two wonderful boys.


What is your favorite memory from your time at Calvary Church?

I think is the time at Hume lake and sharing more with Victor and Trevor.


Who have been the biggest spiritual influencers in your life?

When I was 23 years old in Mexico I had a disciple of 17 year old young men who was of big spiritual influence in my life. 


Favorite place you’ve been in the world and where do you want to go next?

My favorite place is Hawaii and I want to go to Israel.


When I can't be found at Calvary, I can be found...

You can find me sharing the gospel to people everywhere I can.


Hidden Talent?

Sketching and acting.


What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years?

I think the internet has been the greatest invention and support for our ministry.


On what reality show would you most want to be a contestant?

I won’t like to be in any reality show, but probably I will like to participate in young adult students debates.
