RESTORATION PROJECT | THE VISION

You and I are part of Calvary Church because of the vision of a group of godly men and women who believed in spreading the Word of God in their community and around the world. In spiritual terms, we stand on their shoulders. I thank the Lord for the vision of that first congregation of Calvary in 1931; because they listened to God’s calling, thousands ofpeople lives have been changed by Jesus Christ.

I am encouraged, but also challenged, by our rich history. When I came to Calvary fifteen years ago, my passion for our church was to help lead it to becoming healthy and growing. My enthusiasm for that vital growth burns brighter every day. But as I have grown older, my passion has become broader and deeper.

Now, I want this generation to not just grow to be a healthy church, but also to take the lead in passing that stewardship of ministry to the generations that follow us. As our church approaches her 80th birthday, more than ever, I believe we must listen to His voice as we answer the call and restore this local body of Christ so that those young people who follow us will, more importantly, follow Christ.

We must strengthen our ministries by restoring our campus and reach into our community with the message and mission of Jesus Christ that our founding leaders passed on to us. That is why I believe so much in our Restoration Project. We are committing to renew our facilities, renovate historic Samsvick Chapel, create new space for young families, dedicate space to impact the lives of our teens, and expand ministry to our community. This will provide a refocused foundation for all of us today and for the generations that follow us.

Please join me and our leadership in prayer, as we enter into this journey of faith and giving, in order to build up that foundation of a stronger campus in which all ages can continue to be restored in Christ
