Sundays at Calvary
Because of who God is in all His majesty, immortality, holiness, love and grace, we desire to respond to Him as He deserves. One of our highest values at Calvary Church is to gather corporately every week to give Him our worship!
As a church we are united as one in the spirit of Jesus Christ, but in reflection of our diverse congregation, we connect with God and others in different worship services – we are one church with several “heart languages” of worship!
Our prayer and hope for worshipers at Calvary: “…may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.” Romans 15:5-7
Ultimately, our worship services are meant to help foster moments of sacred space where individuals can connect with God and others, to grow in their faith, so we reach Orange County and the world for Jesus Christ.
Sunday Worship Services
Celebration @ 8:45 am | Worship Center
- Celebration service is a blend of contemporary praise music with some hymns, and relevant Biblical preaching from our Sr. Pastor, Dr. David Mitchell. You will typically hear a praise band, choir, various instruments and singers.

Elevation @ 10:45 am | Worship Center
- Elevation service features modern worship music and relevant Biblical preaching from a team of teaching Pastors. You will most often hear a guitar-oriented worship band and experience a time of response after the message at candle-lit stations with the opportunity to give offerings and receive communion.

Renovación - @ 10:30 am | Chapel
- Renovación is our Hispanic Ministry service that meets in Samsvick Chapel each Sunday. You will hear Biblical preaching from Pastor Armando Reyes and music with an energetic praise band.

- Logos is a Mandarin language service that meets each Sunday morning in the Gym. This ministry is led by Pastor Andy Chao.

Inspiration - @ 6:00 pm | Chapel
- An evening service of preaching from God's Word with classic hymns and familiar praise songs, plus time afterwards for fellowship with refreshments.

In addtion to Sunday worship services:
- A full range of on-campus LifeGroups for adults and great programs for children and youth.
A few times a year, we set aside special Sunday mornings to gather as one church family, rather than meeting for our distinct Celebration (8:45 am), Elevation (10:45 am) and Renovacion (10:30 am) services. These are incredible mornings with over 2000 people worshiping together.
On those days, there are no regular LifeGroups for students or adults.

March 11, 2012 | Global:Reach Week Closing Service at 10:45 am*
Join the whole church family as we get together for "Tastes of Food from Around the World" starting at 9:00 am. This will be a great time to come and meet some of Calvary's missionaries before they head back out to the field.
Then, we'll have One Service at 10:45 am in the Worship Center as we conclude our Reach:Global Week with a message from guest speaker David Yeghnazar from Elam Ministries.
* Note that this is Daylight Savings weekend. Set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night.
* Children's programs provided for birth through Kindergarten. 1st grade and up attend church in the Worship Center with their parents.

Hispanic ministry will also join in the One Service at 10:45 am in the Worship Center service with headphone interpretation equipment.
May 27, 2012 | 10:00 am - Memorial Day Weekend with Baptisms
Join the whole church family as we get together for fellowship with light refreshments and coffee at 9:30 am and then One Service at 10:00 am in the Worship Center on Memorial Day Weekend.
There will be also be baptisms that day. Would you like to express your faith and follow Jesus' command to be baptized?
