Current Series | January 8 - April 1

The table is more than just a place where you gather to eat. For the disciples on that night with Jesus, the table was the place to come engage, commune and listen to what Jesus had to say in His last moments with them.

If you knew that you had only days to live, so you invited your closest friends for an intimate dinner, what would you talk about? What concerns, questions, problems or promises would you discuss? Within the backdrop of the Passover meal, Jesus reveals His plan for an Exodus from sin and how we can strengthen our daily lives.

Join us on Sunday mornings at Calvary this January through April, as we enter into a conversation with Jesus, in a series on John 13-17 - The Table.

Calvary is one church with several unique
expressions of worship each Sunday morning:

8:45 am - Celebration | blended worship music with choir, band, singers and preaching by Sr. Pastor David Mitchell

10:45 am - Elevation | modern worship music with a band, response stations, and preaching by a team of Calvary Pastors

5th Sunday - January 29, 2012

Our first ever 5th Sunday took us through John 14:5-16 with a powerful message of hope and grace by Pastor Dave on “A Conversation about Jesus.”

We also heard stories of how Jesus continues to impact lives of people at Calvary Church today. One of those stories was Hall of Fame NFL football player Jackie Slater and his son, Matthew Slater, who is a Pro Bowl player on the Super Bowl bound New England Patriots. God has worked in each of their lives and is using them both today as they live out their faith in Jesus in this amazing setting.

Fall Series | September - November 2011

We are immersed in an ever-changing culture. How do we stand strong with the varied currents of life? We must be rooted in something and someone stronger than ourselves. We need to be rooted in the timeless person and message of Jesus Christ. This gives us the confidence and hope that we can have peace with God, strength in our relationships, freedom from our past and wisdom for our future.

We invite you to join us this fall at Calvary Church. Each week, we will learn from Paul’s letter to the Colossians on how we can be rooted in Christ and experience His power to live out the Christian life, not just on Sundays, but every day, in every part of our life.

BIBLE MEMORY CHALLENGE:

Memorize the whole book of Colossians by October 30, 2011. Each week we will give you a verse from that Sunday’s message to memorize. Besides memorzing the verse of the week, we would love to see some of you memorize all four chapters. After you memorize the book of Colossians, please contact Tammy Harris at THarris@calvarylife.org or call 714-550-2342 to set up a time to recite the verse in person. You will also receive a gift certificate to our Calvary Corner Bookstore!  Here are some tips:

    • Use one of the following Bible translations: NASB, NIV, NLT, ESV, or NKJV
    • Each day, memorize more verses while repeating the previous verses the day before.
    • Recite each memorized section out loud; you will remember it better.
    • Write out each memorized section on cards to refer to though out the day.
    • Reflect on what each day’s memorized version should mean for your own spiritual growth and practices.
    • The key is repetition.

Life Changing Questions | April - August 2011

We have all faced life changing questions at different phases of our life…
Which college?
Is she the one?
Will I do the right thing?

Will I be able to make it through this?

The answers to these questions have had profound implications in how our lives are being lived now. Beyond all of these questions are those life-altering, life-impacting, life-CHANGING questions concerning Jesus Christ and our answers to these determine how we will spend eternity.

Join us each Sunday at Calvary as we explore life-changing questions from the gospel of John, and look to Jesus for the answers and celebrate the love, truth, hope and life we find only in Him.

God at Work | January - April 2011

Our general assumption is that God is working on something, but what? When everything in life is perfect, we proclaim he has blessed us. But when life is the pits, we think He has stopped working.

You're invited to journey with us through the story of Joseph, as we hope to uncover God At Work everyday, all the time and in every facet of our lives.
