Open Arms Support Group

Open Arms support group is a safe place of fellowship, encouragement and prayer for those whose lives have been touched in any way by adoption or foster care. God cares for all of His children!

We meet the first Wednesday of each month in room N-1 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Open Arms Backpack Drive

Open Arms, an orphan care ministry of Calvary Church, hosted a backpack drive throughout the month of August 2008. They collected backpacks and collapsible lunch pails to send to school age AIDS orphans at the Acres of Love Forever Homes in South Africa, and to local children living in foster care throughout Orange County. These backpacks will be given to children in K-12th grades.

UPDATE TOTAL:

The Backpack Drive brought in 352 backpacks and 76 lunch boxes!
118 backpacks and 76 lunch boxes went to the Acres of Love
Orphanage in South Africa in October 2008.

The other 234 backpacks were distributed here locally between OliveCrest
and 2 agencies that support Homeless families here in Orange County.

Shoe Drive

Last February we began a new Global Missions Partnership Project with Buckner Intl' to offer hope to Ethiopian orphans by collecting NEW SHOES in our “Shoes for Orphan Souls” shoe drive. Calvary’s Goal: To collect over 2,000 pairs of shoes. Find out more about the Shoe Drive.
